US Constitution Vocabulary

Impeachment- The presentation of formal charges against a public official by the lower house. A trial to be higher than the upper houses.

Enumeration- A list or catalog

Emoluments- A profit, salary, or a fee.

Tempore- Another word for temporary; for the time being.

Quorum- A number of members in a group or organization. Usually contained with majority oof people. A particularly chosen group.    

Adjourn- the act to suspend the meeting of a club, legislature,

Compel- Forcing someone to do something; using force or pressure.

Counterfeit- To copy or imitate someones product; Make fake replicas or models of the original product. Counterfeit products are often produced to take advantage of the superior value of the original product.

Imposts- A tax or similar compulsory payment.

Ratified- To confirm by giving permission or approval

Equity- The qualities of being fair or impartial; fairness.
